Is There Evidence That Antidepressants Are Over-Prescribed?

There is no evidence that antidepressants are reversing this underlying chemical cause of depression. They're not acting in the same way as antibiotics. There's also now a whole range of other theories about what antidepressants do, all of them not yet proven. Anti-depressants involve different kind of compounds which can be energizing or sedating and some even numbing. We don't know how they work but if we were being straight about antidepressants, we would say we don’t knows how they work.
