The Subjective Element of Pain

Pain is useful as an instrument of investigation here, says Susan Remedy. Pain is in your head; it's not out there in the real world,. We know that if people have pain at different times through the day, they'll perceive less and more depending on their state of mind. I've also had reports that patients on morphine will sometimes say they still feel the pain, but it doesn't matter anymore.
