The Importance of a PhD in Research Science
After his PhD he worked at Wyeth pharmaceuticals in the UK doing something very different. He was working on developing novel in vitro and in vivo models of ALS disease. After that, he went to work for Vertex as a post-marketing research scientist. And then moved into immuno-cology and DNA damage repair when I joined Grey Wolf. The company is now trying to find new targets for its drug discovery programs.
