Neural Machine Translation - The Very First Um Work That Was Published as Research

The first work published as research for neural machine translation was in 2014 by both the Google and Montreal groups. By 2017, 18 everybody in um in the commercial sphere has switched over to neural machine translation because it was just so much dramatically better than probabilistic machine learning or large margin machine learning works. We were essentially the first group that was considering these sort of deeper linguistic questions of syntactic and semantic structure and how they could be modeled with neural networks.
