There was a real feeling that Millebans Labour had kind of conceded everything, and particularly under economic policy. And so I always found John Mcdonald the more interesting part of that, that project. Because not just because of his economic policies, but also because he was hungry and he really wanted it. He was in politics for power, which is what politics is for. So there was an awful lot of energy, but yeah, we didn't have the kind of massive internal schisms that somewhere like the Guardian did.
