How did you decide on the shots and how youwere going to cover the sequences? Most, most of theer people in it were non actors. I don't think i'd thought too much in those days about how you construct a sequence. It something i learnt as i went long later. The shoot took about six months, on and off. We shot the ankends, sometimes three or four days during the week, but mostly week ends. And we started in sicily, and then we for the next scene, we had to tr travel beyond rome, and then back down to in italy, and so on. Because you want to show everything orderso nod your head
