Orkney - Oruk, Tel-Brak?
Archaeologists have found monumental buildings at Oruk dating to the 4th millennium BC. They are on a scale that no one could imagine was possible at that date. One which is known as Temple D, it has been said we're not very clear whether these are actually temples or perhaps ceremonial buildings of some sort. That is comparable in size to that of the Parthenon in Athens. It really emphasised I guess also once again it kind of hints from the archaise.
