Do You Trust Your Emotions?
We're largely emotional reasoning creatures with a little logic thrown on top. Emotions should not be repressed. Whatever you feel, persists. Instead we'rea sort of conditioned to avoid emotion, to repress emotion and to somehow project emotion as reality in the world. That's cognitive distortion. Your emotions are affecting your thinking and distorting it. Over generalization, negativety bias, black and white thinking is now manifesting because of emotional reasoning. So i feel this way about a person, therefore they must be bad. Therefore i'm on a look in the environment for confirmation of my worthlessness. And that's emotional reasoning, and it's absolutely the source of so much suffering.
