The Debt Ceiling Showdown
There was a series of government brinksmanship shutdowns when Republicans were the minority in the Obama era. The moment that it stopped being popular is an interesting and I submit really underappreciated moments in American politics. Sadly for the Republicans, all of the credibility that they might have had on that issue has been squandered by their big, big spending ways ever since. And so if they tried to do that brinksmanship, it's not going to be even worse than every single time before.
