A lack of leadership from the very top levels of the democratic party and liberal establishment. A wide sense among the democratic rank and file that this issue isn't that pressing. Part of it is that things feel hopeless, giving that everything depends on the medium vote in the senate. You've seen this wave of republican organizing around this fervent belief that trum actually won the 20 20 election.
