The Story of the Execution
Catherine Eddows and her husband wrote penny pamphlets about gallows ballads. The man who'd been executed was Catherine's cousin. After they had their first child together, they made their way to London. She would clean in the Jewish homes when there was work for her. Her addiction bore her down and her other relationships, too.
