AFib Is Not a Presentation of Myocardial Ischemia

The idea that all patients with first diagnosed AFib need to go to the Merton Trum is just a complete waste of resources. It's really best if you can manage them as an outpatient if you have that close follow up and you can deal with them. I think it really is based on symptoms I think would be the top concern, then if there's other comorbidities you're concerned about bleeding or some stroke or whatever. But AFib is not a presentation of myocardial ischemia that's sort of you know two separate conditions.
