Long tenure is something that's on the decline, and it always comes back to culture. The people at vanguard are not only colleagues, but they're also good friends from work. We socialize together; you do tend to bond together in an area that can be quite stressful. And i remember when i interviewed for a job on the desk here, gus sauter was in charge - he said 'you don't really have a career path here' So we've got these big egos, where you've got five people together who achieve incredible things. But your successes are determined as a team, as a we.
