The 1974 National Security Memorandum 200 talks about depopulation in the LDCs, the lesser developed countries. The countries that were targeted through this memo slated for depopulation are as follows. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Turkey, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. He said that American business interests could suffer from political instability caused by too many people there.
