Libya is effectively split in two along the old fault line that separates Tripilatania from Serenika. While Tripoli seems to be recovering economically, Benghazi lies in ruins. The east is currently under the control of a warlord, Field Marshal Khalifa Hafta and his national Libyan army. It's going to take some time, but I think it is still a success story as far as the Arab Spring is concerned," he says.
