North Korea's Ambition to Launch Satellites

North Korea has long abandoned the East Coast site. That site is undergoing a lot of refurbishment that Kim Jong-un has specifically called for. In 2017, a visiting Russian researcher went to Pyongyang and they expressed aspirations to launch satellites into geostationary orbit. So these ambitions, I think, might go much deeper than we might expect at the moment.
