Crimea

Before the war, people were willing to acknowledge that basically most people in Crimea are Russian ethnic and would prefer to be part of Russia. So if you have those regions split off in some fashion from Ukraine, you actually have a more cohesively ethnically Ukrainian project. I think it matters what the people who actually live in that region or at least lived in the region before this current war, what their wishes and aspirations are. But a lot of idiots say that about the new regions they just invaded. And I think that's total bullshit.
