The Reduction of Thought Process in Television

Neil Postman describes this as what he calls politics as show business. Now instead of thinking, you just are entertained. And so in entertainment, when something is boring, you disengage and show attention spans go down. So the way that people start deciding if things are true or false is do they resonate because if something resonates, then you keep watching it and you like it.
