"We're now getting to the point where the human is the limitation not the enabler," he says. "It's really upshame because there was again a period I think probably in like the late 70s through maybe the late 90s where it actually may have made sense for things like manned space reconnaissance planes or manned fighters" He adds that as science fiction fans we should be thankful for it from the perspective of keeping our guys alive.
