Why Did Bante Choose That Way?
Bante: Why did he choose that way of formulating things rather than something very simple like Cela Samadhi Prabhnaar or Samatabhapassana? Do you see what I mean? It's a different way of thinking and it's a different question to ask. Bante had in fact written an essay in the late 80s called Literary Criticism East and West. He was asked to, he was asked to give a paper for a conference. And in the paper, he rather dutifully addresses Indian aesthetics through the concept of rasa.
