Anxiety
Anxiety doesn't get triggered until puberty, but it feels like something that loops for people. Lots of conditions we think about as mental illnesses are looping phenomena. With anxiety, a breath irregularity can do it. So one of the things the therapists do to deal with panic attacks and particular, is to have people breathe regularly. And you can do that for relaxation, exercise, too.
