Partland: Is it that the internet simply kind of makes it easier to do is more convenient and therefore that's why you don't go to the bar? Partland: I think there is a fear or a sort of tension that is introduced into a lot of social relations which as my mom said or as my sister applied to my mom. He says people have adapted to expect the internet to supply that potential for connection but at the same time he thinks what is very striking about Tinder is that it has an ideal of bourgeois contractualism built into it in that it establishes prior consent even before social contact takes place.
