The Peace of God and the Truths of God

The peace of God and the truths of God movements were attempts to tell knights when they could and therefore couldn't fight, raid, attack. The pieces of paper begin to show up in continental Europe about 850 or 900 and then 950 and 1,000 because it was kind of working. They said that there were limits to when knights could fight.
