The Importance of Focusing on One Thing
Data is one of these things that if you're in a large organization or you have lots of data, the idea of organizing it can just seem like this daunting, painful, inaccessible task. One CDO talked about how he got his infrastructure in place without saying to everyone, stop. We're going to not do anything until we build out the data warehouse and the data catalog. And so his big reveal was, hey, look, over the course of the time that we've been doing these projects, we've been building this infrastructure that now we have available for everything else.
