The senate is malapportioned. Republicans effectively get extra seats in the senate because of all these small red states that have very few people in them, and yet they still get two senators. So it's just hard to confirm a democrat to the supreme court. She even got three republican votes at her confirmation hearing. Chuck rasley and mike lee mostly asked her very wonkey questions about sentencing policy. Her it was a weird confirmation here latyo.
