Edward Moybridge suffered a brain injury as a young man. He spent nine days in a coma and woke up 150 miles distant in an Arkansas hospital. For the next three months, he suffered seizures and agonizing headaches. Afterward, he was rash and impulsive, and had a volcanic temper.
