Hadrata's Invasion

i think snory is our best source for what was going on with hadrata during this invasion. Hedrata took england completely by surprise, no one was expecting a scandinavian invasion. The english likely assumed that tostig's sad campaign had ended when he failed at the battle on the humber. And nobody expected another invasion threat coming out of the north, at least not right now. Tostig and his recruits were easily able to join up with hadrada and the norse fleet when they reached the tine. Allowing these forces to meet and join up was a catastrophe. We're told this combined fleet landed at a place called cliff land.
