I think we explore it less because we just have not got the tools quite so readily to explore these underground worlds, especially on a microbial level. Many parts f these underground wild fich are unknowable to us ell. So there we find these mycelial networks, these branching, fusing networks of a tubular cells. Some of them just ephemeral puffs that live on specks of house dust. Others can range over kilometers. And in fact, some of the largest organisms in the world ar my celial networks that range over kilometre.
