The History of Lean

The agile ecosystem stumbled into lean just by deductive reasoning. Having small autonomous self organizing teams that have a highly observable work system generally works out really well. The initial XP and Scrum, but also Crystal, ASD, DSDM folks, one of the things that they took for granted was the culture that they had. And so when they then tried to take that and say, now other people can do it, most of what they captured and documented were the discreetly observable events and artifacts.
