Before then, no one had connected the oceans and the air before. This is an entire system. So since then, nobody draws earth without clouds. If someone wants to say that living on earth's surface beneath 15 pounds per square inch of atmospheric mass, if they want to say we live in the earth, I'm all for it. Otherwise you'd have to say earth does not include the atmosphere. And by the way, earth's atmosphere is so thin. Earth's atmosphere is to earth as the skin of an apple is to the apples. That's just terrible.
