The Importance of Plea Deals

I think in the States, if you're sentenced, normally you're serving your full sentence. Over here, life is 20 years or something. The whole thing that comes up around it though is like with some of these crimes and the gravity of some of them. I don't know how somebody can kill somebody in the most brutal way and then ever come out of jail again. But they do. You know what I mean? And it's not for every case. It's very specific when you can do a plea deal or whatever. As far as I know in the UK, you can get out in half the time that you're sentenced for good behavior and stuff. We should speculate.
