The Impact of Demographic Change on Mortality in England

The population in England is going to increase by 3.5 million people between 2019 and 2040, according to the Office of National Statistics. 80% of the increase in diagnosis illness that we're projecting is relating to that demographic change, not people having higher levels of illness at given ages. We believe this is related to the fact that those improvements in life expectancy are kind of because of better management of conditions that already exist rather than better population health.
