I think to go from the intellectual understanding to the the meaning of life that you're looking for would be to use these negative feelings. I often feel ashamed if I screw up or make a mistake make a mistake and I don't know what I'm saying makes sense but it seems to me all of these negative feelings that are so elevated are something you could view as pure gold.
