What's My General Reaction?
One of my reactions was whether like people could be wrong about prestige. I think that when participants are answering these questions, there's a degree to which you're being asked to infer what society thinks. And so I was curious if there might be some some occupations where people's ratings of the prestige of that job are out of sync with how prestigious they actually are. So like, perhaps there could be like a lag or something like that.
