Smedley's War Is a Wreck It
Smedley saw troubling similarities between his assignments abroad and the way criminals like Capone conducted their businesses at home. In 1935, Smedley wrote an aptly named pamphlet, War is a Wreck It. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three city districts. Looking back on it, I feel I might have given Al Capone a few hints.
