Carl's Poem to Autumn Again
The poem is an argument for a way of seeing and perceiving what might be at first hidden, but the very nature of it being hidden. What he arrives at, he's calling holy, is not in any way conventionally religious,. It has to do with something like soulfulness or connection to not just other people or other imaginations. But this long sweep of time in this body of water. The third thing being both of these things abide constantly at the same time in this sort of heightened lyric stage. Yeah. Oh my God, that's so great.
