The Importance of the Spirit in Life
David Perry was an internist who worked as a physician on the AIDS ward in the early 1980s at San Francisco General. When each patient dies even now he lights candles on his altar at home and keeps them burning for 49 days. He also happens to be trained as a Buddhist and it's been his practice to offer prayers for his patients.
