The Lord's Saving Actions Are Passive

In section six, we see how those whom God hath chosen to show his love are saved. The rest of mankind God was pleased according to the unsearchable counsel of his own will whereby he extended or withholdeth mercy as he pleases for the glory of his sovereign power over his creatures. So it is what this shows us is that God, all creatures, apart from God's mercy, all creatures would be passed by. And he would be just in passing us by. It's only from his love and his mercy that any are saved.
