The Consistency of Design Patterns

Design patterns are designed to actually make things look the same, whichever where they're implemented. But people's framework for I'm walking and looking at my mobile phone is not the same as I'm sitting in front of my desk with a giant monitor. They don't need to be alike because they're not the same situation. The saying is not the consistency is the hobgoblin of foolish minds. It's a foolish consistency.
