How Electric Eels Make Electricity
David DeSantana is a scientist with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. When eels go hunting, they fire the three electric organs at the same time, producing impressive strong discharge of up to 860 volts. By comparison, it can be seven times stronger than a wall of sockets.
