The Importance of Prose in a Book
John says the book is very good about being understated about itself. Doesn't try to come across as a great book slips past your guard and gets you. I never once in my time reading this book was like, oh man, that's a really good paragraph right there. That's a reallygood sentence. And yeah, I mean, what is good writing? Is good writing that calls attention to itself or is good writing writing that allows you to forget yourself in it?
