The majority of global agriculture is in rain fed, non irrigated systems. And so these systems are no potentially more vulnerable to the impacts of drought and other kind of extreme weather events like extreme heat. We know climate change is affecting and increasing the incidente of both. So it's really important to assess the relationship between soil organic matter,. which is something we're trying to manage for, and agricultural lands. Whether or not increasing or bolstering soil to soil organic matter helps mitigate and provide some resilients to clim ate change.
