I've noticed that it's an interesting habit of forms where you think that something's going to relieve the anxiety. But if you watch it, it actually only increases unless you're very particular about what you're tuning into. I can't have too much of a diet of full news stories. Like the headlines for me give me enough information. And then if there's something I want more information on, but they start interviewing individual people. That's when it just takes me down because I'm already very empathetic and I can't hold too much sorrow or it's hard for me to function.
