I think part of the reason we fucked up so much on COVID is because we shut down all the alternatives. So I would say that's the argument for why we can't just sweep it on the rug. And if we have all these problems that are going to come from on the horizon towards us and like screw everything up, we have to solve this problem in order to make us better able to respond to those problems.
