How to Stay Motivated to Get Out of Depression

The more intense your motivation in a certain way, the less you are moving towards your intended target. So I believe that all people want to be happy and most people choose poor ways of achieving that. You have to try a whole bunch of stuff that doesn't work but you have to be sharp enough to see that they don't work. Getting happiness by trying to manipulate experience is not working well or not working well. If it's less effort you take to do that the better but it might take practice to drop the effort. And gradually, little by little, you start to drop effort, but obviously no zero effort will get you there.
