In the Euthofro, Socrates has a dialogue with this arrogant young man who believes that he knows what piety is. The enlightenment is so gratis rationalism: Reason is higher than anything, even God. So the will and the intellect are absolutely united in God. Neither one is the authority over the other. They are identical.
