fundamentalists were at odds with other conservative evangelicals. Critics didn't focus on billy graham's preaching, his doctrine or his political influence. Main line denominations, theology, liberals and roman catholics all participated. Jack mc carthur stood at the very nexis of that intersection. He joined an association called the i f c, a, independent fundamental churches of america. Bob jones became the central figure in fundamentalism but he was never officially a part of it.
