The Importance of Degrowth

De-growth is a provocative word, but also it's an analytically concise term. The first time the word degrowth really became a slogan people ever used before was in French Adbusters magazine. I think degrowth is a bit of a culture jamming word itself, and that's its root, is just to use capitalist ideology against itself. It wasn't designed with how are we going to run a PR campaign for these ideas? Usually the opposite of growth would be like shrinkage. And also, why do we have to be positive all the time? Why does everything have to happen?"
