The Importance of Protein in Age

In the U.S., we get 70% of our calories from plant based foods now, only 30% from animalbased foods. Of that 70%, 51% comes from added sugars, oils, and hydrogenated fats. Another 33% comes from refined grains. 80% have no nutritional value; they're just crappy calories. We're getting 65% of our protein, 100% of calcium, vitamin D, B12, and over 60% of iron, zinc, selenium, B6, niacin by being a vegan.
