The law in Paris does support the rights of the tenant a lot more. It can be very difficult to get a decent apartment, because if you don't have the right profile as a tenant, then landlords won't want to let their apartment to you. So there are probably like empty apartments, because people don't even want to like, you know, or they'd rather Airbnb them or something.
